The course of study for CNU’s Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree program with A Focus In Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Environmental, Or Quality Assurance Science Engineering Requirements includes time for instruction, application, evaluation, and examination. The student will be required to engage in activities that demonstrate the ability to apply engineering principles to practical problems. Laboratory experience will be achieved though computer simulation where possible, but access to additional materials and equipment may be required for some courses.
Degree AwardedBachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical)
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree is an undergraduate-level degree that is concerned with the discipline, art, skill and profession of acquiring and applying scientific, mathematical, economic, social, and practical knowledge, in order to design and build structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. Upon completion of the program graduates will have an opportunity to pursue a higher education in a more specialized field of study, or join the workforce;i.e. working in chemical, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree will usually be undertaken in one field of engineering, which is sometimes noted in the degree post-nominals specific to the concentration focus of the student and can range from aerospace to quantitative surveying and everything in between. The Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree can typically be completed in three to five years of studying engineering at a university. The nature of the qualification varies greatly from region to region, hence it may or may not be a professional degree and it may or may not involve undertaking some engineering work, but for many engineering jobs it is essential to have a basic mastery of the respective field of engineering to hold the job position. The Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree program requires satisfactory completion of a minimum of 126 units of academic work with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in the following areas:
